My daughter has always wanted to invite her entire class to her birthday parties. She says it would be sad if someone felt left out. While some parties only have girls and others only boys, a few invite the entire class. Although, I understand that this doesn’t work for everyone due to the price and size of the venue.
I remember when I was in elementary school, we had to invite everyone to our parties, it was great for class bonding. Kids change and the kids your child wants at her party at age 5 are different than the kids she wants at age 10. If you attend the same school all these years you might have regrets if you leave some kids out, and most likely have hurt feelings. Is it worth it? It is up to us as parents to teach our kids to include everyone and not allow them at such young ages to be exclusive.
