Fireworks over the Golden Gate Bridge

Happy New Year!

2016 was a very challenging and exciting year for Classic Girl Clothing. Through trial and error, we found our awesome production team. Our pattern maker, grader, cutter and sewing factory are all amazing and work very well together. It took us a while to land this team, but now that we have, we are excited about the future. 2016 was the year we trademarked our name, Classic Girl Clothing. Our attorney gave us great advice to secure the name we had wanted, even when it didn’t look possible - Rachel Fischbein, from Law on the Runway is extremely knowledgeable. And, you know you are in good hands with just one phone call. Thank you, Rachel, we love our trademarked name.

This past year we launched our website and started our blog. It’s been a while since our last blog post because we decided to take the time to learn something new and get on Facebook. Last month we spent most of our time learning some social media tactics, curating new ideas for next year’s blog, exploring ideas for our 2017 dress line, and most importantly spending time with family and close friends.

The month of December was exactly what I needed: spending time with my daughter, volunteering at her school, and doing all the things I dreamed of doing with my little girl. The week before Christmas we got our nails and hair done together, attended the San Francisco Symphony’s Charlie Brown Special, White Christmas the musical, and the San Francisco Ballet’s Nutcracker, which is one of our families beloved traditions.  This holiday month also included some amazing downtown San Francisco dinners as a family, a weekend trip with extended family and a hosted dinner for twelve in our home.

Sometimes, even when starting a new business, you need to give yourself permission to take time off and spend the holidays with the ones you love. We all need to take care of ourselves and recharge, especially if you have grand plans as we have for 2017. We wish you all a very Happy New Year!!!

Cheers,
Krista
